M Is for Modifiable
The M in M-NFT stands for Modifiable. An M-NFT is a modifiable artifact — a digital asset in the Prospective ecosystem that can be changed. That is the official definition, and it is also, deliberately, most of what is currently known.
What exactly can be modified, by whom, under what conditions, and what a modification actually does — none of that has been fully revealed. It is not a gap in the documentation. It is a thing the story has not finished telling yet. Prospective Comics has positioned the M-NFT as something that will be understood more fully as the narrative unfolds, and that restraint is deliberate. An open question in a serialised story is not a design flaw.
What is established: the M-NFT is described as the first modifiable NFT. Every MEET THE CREW card — the character stat cards for each member of the Rugpull Gang — carries the label "PROS VENTURE M-NFT" in its footer bar. These cards are the visible surface of the system. The "PROS VENTURE M-NFT" label is on every card; the tier assignments live in the gallery. The rest waits.
The Six Tiers
The M-NFT system runs on six tiers — Common, Strong, Rare, Epic, Muscular, Legendary — each carrying a multiplier in the x2 through x6 range. The full tier data, including which tier maps to which multiplier, lives at prospective.world/gallery. That is the authoritative source; check it directly for the current assignments.
The structure follows a pattern common across collectible systems: scarcity increases as the multiplier rises. Common artifacts are the most accessible entry point; Legendary are the ceiling. Most participants in any tiered system will land somewhere in the middle, and that is by design rather than by accident. A system where everyone reaches Legendary is not a tier system.
What the Multiplier Does
The multiplier is attached to each tier, and the full mechanic — what it multiplies, and in what context — is part of what the Prospective ecosystem is still building out. The honest answer is that the visible number is a promise the story and the platform are in the process of fulfilling.
This is worth saying plainly rather than dressing up. A multiplier attached to an artifact you can own is a commitment from the creators that the number will mean something. The six-tier structure and the x2-through-x6 range are published and fixed. What they scale is the part that develops.
The Crew Cards Are the Interface
The most concrete way to see M-NFTs in the world is through the MEET THE CREW cards. Each of the fifteen members of the Rugpull Gang has a character card — a stat-card format that shows MEMBER #, ENERGY, BOXES, AGE, ORIGIN, and a portrait. The footer of every card reads "PROS VENTURE M-NFT", and that footer bar labels the BOXES row directly above it.
The Boxes Are the Artifacts
The boxes on each crew card are the M-NFTs that member holds. Not decoration, not a power level — a literal inventory of modifiable artifacts. Baden carries three boxes because Baden holds three M-NFTs. Lala carries one. Eleven other members carry two each. Degen and one unnamed member carry none; both are the redacted profiles.
Why the counts differ is not yet established. The "PROS VENTURE M-NFT" footer names what the boxes are; the story has not yet explained why the numbers are what they are.
The crew cards therefore serve two functions at once: they are character introductions for readers of Rise of the Rugpull Gang, and they are a published inventory of artifacts in the Prospective ecosystem. For more on what the boxes mean, see What the Boxes Mean on Prospective Comics.
The Book Is Not the NFT
This is the most important thing to be clear about, and it is easy to blur.
Buying Rise of the Rugpull Gang Issue 1 is not buying an M-NFT. The print edition is £24.99, paid through Stripe, for a physical printed book that ships worldwide. No wallet required. No token. No account beyond a shipping address. It is a book purchase in the same way any limited print run is a book purchase.
The M-NFT system and the comic are parts of the same universe — the characters on the crew cards are the same characters in the book — but they are separate things. Readers who want the story buy the book. The M-NFT system is a separate layer of the Prospective ecosystem with its own entry points.
Getting this wrong is the easiest mistake to make when writing about a blockchain-powered comic, and it is worth being precise: the comic does not require crypto. The M-NFT does. They are not the same object.
An Open System in an Open Story
The closest analogy for what an M-NFT currently is — based on what is confirmed and nothing more — is a collectible artifact with a declared modifier, in a system whose full mechanics are being revealed in parallel with the story that gives it context.
That is an unusual thing. Most NFT projects publish a whitepaper and ask you to trust it. Prospective Comics is publishing a story and asking you to watch it develop. The M-NFT is part of the story's infrastructure as much as it is a product. What modifiability ultimately means in this universe is a question the fiction is in the process of answering.
